SCOUTING FOR FOOD
Our local Cub Scout Pack 1064 has been working hard and having a blast collecting donations for their annual service project "Scouting For Food". All donations benefit the St. Lawrence Martyr Food Pantry. Which in turn goes to community members in need. For one week each November, each scout spends one hour, along 3-4 other scouts, in front of our local Ralphs on Calle Mayor soliciting non-perishable donations. It’s a great way to teach the scouts about why and how we should serve our local community and have fun doing it.
Pack 1064 is made up of more than 97% SLM students and parent volunteers, with SLM being their chartered organization.
Way to go guys! Keep up the great work.
A SPOOK-TACULAR NIGHT!
Our next Pack meeting will be our Annual Halloween Carnival held on October 26th, from 7-8 PM at the SLM Parish Hall. All attendees are welcome to come in costume! There will be a costume contest.
